My experience 和 journey with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) started with my spouse's death. Through the trials associated with such an event, I was inspired to devote myself to veterans 和 help them through their healing process.
That’s what led me to Herzing – I found their Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program 和 knew that it was key to helping me achieve my goals of helping others.
Quite a lot happened during my studies at Herzing. At one point, I became ill 和 found myself unable to complete my work on time. Truthfully, I was on the verge of failing before Herzing’s faculty helped get me back on track. Dr. Dunnman left the biggest impact on me. Thank you for helping me get back on track!
Once I got back to where I needed to be, I moved on to practicums. They helped me become an improved version of myself, 和 I found them so important to my career. They proved I was able to learn 和 improve as a student, which will undoubtedly help in my actual career next!
I’m currently hunting for jobs at the moment, but I’m excited for the next chapter of my life to begin!
